Replacing your pepper spray canister is simple. Gripping the decorative sleeve, remove the empty canister by twisting, and insert the pepper spray refill until it clicks into place. Check that the safety is engaged, and you’re good to go. Refreshing your self-defense spray takes just a few minutes.

It’s recommended to replace your pepper spray every 12–18 months, even if unused. Over time, pressure may dissipate, and the spray pattern or extended range could be affected. A fresh pepper spray replacement ensures you always have maximum effectiveness and reliable personal safety when it matters most.

Yes — unopened pepper spray refill canisters can be returned within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. The packaging must be sealed to qualify. If you’re unsure about compatibility, double-check your case or contact Blingsting customer service before opening the pepper spray replacement.

Check the printed expiration date on your canister — Blingsting sprays typically expire between two and five years after manufacturing. Also, inspect the spray pattern: if the fog is thinner, or less wide-angle fog comes out than before, those are red flags that it’s time for a pepper spray refill.
